What does “Liberate Hemp” mean?
The 2018 Farm Bill allowed farmers to grow industrial hemp. However, with the cost of state licensing and the cost and complexity of lab testing as the primary method of proving the THC level is below 0.3, there is little incentive for farmers to begin cultivating hemp.
This complexity explains why New York grew less than "30 acres" of industrial hemp this year!!!
New York farmers are in need of a more liberal approach with the freedom they need to cultivate and get to know a new crop.
